My name is Ray Ramos --

I am a Singer/Composer/Bandleader/Producer/Recording Artist. I have been in the Latin Salsa business all my life. I was born in Spanish Harlem - the Famous 110th street. My father was also a musician and he played the quatro, tres and the mandolin. I started my musical carreer singing Do-wops and then met Ralfi Pagan and joined his band. I was a singer and composer for many bands in the sixties and seventies. I had my own charanga band "La Charanga Sensual" then I started a salsa band with four trumpets and got away from the charanga sound because I am a sonero and charanga did not satisfy my wanting to sonear! In 1981 I recorded my first LP with Kim Records. I have since recorded about 20 CDs. My first recordings was with "Conjunto Saoco" in the seventies - I recorded 4 LPs and most of the songs were written by me. I am a member of ASCAP since 1976 and most of my works are published by Peer Publishing Inc. I have performed all over the US and in Europe and South America. My songs/compositions have been in movies such as "Ivory Tower," "The Way She Moves," "Dance With Me" with Cheyenne and Vennesa Williams also

"Death To Smoochy" with Paul Williams and Danny Devito. In the TV shows "Americas Most Wanted" - "Moesha" - "Love Boat" - "Buddy Faro" and "King of Queens" etc. I have now a new compilation CD released in LA by Golden Music "Sabroso Y Saoco"-- I am also recording a CD in London with Jose Volga and the Chocolate Band - the best salsa group in London,England.I have performed with my NY band at the Copa, Sobs, Pulse, La Maganet, Wild Palm, El Flamingo, La Bar Bat, etc. etc. etc. I hve produced 2 CDs with Luis "Perico" Ortiz, another with Isidro Infante and recently I produced a CD for Morrowland Records using the best musicians and arrangers in the business - Ricky Gonzalez,
