Weekend in the Pontins
December 1st - 4th, 2000!
Here is the info so far - updates weekly!! 30 Workshops, Shows, & Discos! There may be a small number of optional extra classes at a supplement. Starts at 9pm on the Fri. Guests can arrive any time to settle in. Guest Stars (instructors) so far! - Salomon Rivera and Edie, The Salsa FREAK, Angel Ortiz and Rebecca Sweet (NY), Kerry Ribchester, Rohan Brown, Lola Lledo, Cressida Childs, Jane Griffiths, Alison Vale and Clo de Castro (to be confirmed Dean Maynard, Tracey Gooch, Jose Cardosa, Robert Charlemagne etc) Workshops in Salsa and Mambo, Ladies Styling!, Lifts and Dips, Tango, Dance Technique, Salsa Styles etc. There are 2 massive ballrooms where the event will take place, with workshops & discos happening simultaneously. This allows lots of choices and more space for dancing. Also on site are various restaurants, swimming pool, supermarket etc. and the sea is adjacent. We will finish with a late disco / cabaret show on Sun. at approx. 4am.
Place: The area is Brean Sands in Somerset, which is a holiday area. (not built up, more wild!). The event takes place at a holiday center which provides self catering accommodations. Everything is on one site so there will be no need to drive anywhere! Cost: There are 3 prices - £58, £63 or £71, determined by the quality of accommodations. Directions: From Heathrow Airport about 3 hours drive, and there is also an aiport for Bristol (only 30 minutes away) |
