London calling... !! Turning You On To Those Slinky Hipped Pleasures...!! Britain is officially the dance capital of Europe. Over five million dancers take to the floors every week. There are two dance classes in London for every square mile. The provinces are getting in on the act at a rate, which no one keeps track of. This year's hottest Salsa event, Salsa Festival 2000, takes place at the Royal National Hotel, Russell Square, London from the 18th August to the 28th August with a grand finally at the Notting Hill Carnival This years event will be twice as big as last year's, attracting an audience of over 3000 over the three with a capacity for 1100 dancers. This unique three day event will bring the world's top Salsa instructors, performers and artists together, and will be the Largest Salsa Event in London this year. International Latin personality, Tito Nieves from Puerto Rico dubbed the 'Barry White of Salsa' makes his debut appearance at the festival, presenting the hottest ever weekend of workshops, dance demos by the sexiest stars and the Salsa Y Mambo dance competitions. Dance Competition! So prepare to get totally swept off your feet - Pedro Gomez is coming from Italy to showcase the unique Italian mix of Puerto Rican and Cuban style Salsa. Salomon and Edie the Salsa Freak the first lady of Salsa from Salsa web they bring much more than "just Salsa". They both have extensive experience not only in teaching and performing, but also in competing, other ballroom dances, world travel, technology, and business. Each one of the seminars will be one hour and a half in length. Audience must have chairs to sit, and pens and pads ready for note taking. Some dancing may be required, but not over 50% of the class.
