Long Hair

Here I am sitting under the hair dryer at the new George-Michael Salon in Beverly Hills California, getting a fabulous hair treatment by the famous Jessie Martinez, the Long Hair Specialist.

Folks, she has finally done it! She has opened up her DREAM SALON - a salon with a beautiful hard wood floor ready for Salsa classes and dancing!

Jessie's hair salon in Beverly Hills will be the first in the world to offer Salsa lessons, parties, and performances for Salseros and her elite clientel.

Jessie's expertise, specializing in long hair growth and maintenance, has earned her an incredible reputation for successfully helping people grow and maintain their hair healthfully and naturally. Her talented hands have graced the crowns of Paula Abdul, Nicole Kidman, Tracey Ulman, and Connie Selleca to name a few.

The salon is absolutely stunning. Greeting you at the door is a beautiful leopard-skin printed chair and couch. The minute I saw the furniture, I said, "Yup, that's Jessie!" I'll occasionally see her out at the Salsa nightclubs in gorgeous leopard-skin printed skirts and shoes. Jessie tells me she wants to get leopard-skin printed salon robes as well! The salon has a very tasteful decor of soft tans and beiges that compliment the stunning hardwood dance floor. The windows are actually French Mediteranian wooden doors that fold out when opened. There is a very feminine, yet powerful look about the place. It is a pleasure getting your hair done here!

I have a great view of the famous Peninsula Hotel just across Litte Santa Monica Blvd, and am sitting on an amazingly comfortable couch under a hair dryer, instead of an impersonable salon chair. Track lighting on her high ceiling accents the walls, highlights the floor, and gives a rich ambiance and warm feeling about the place. Salsa music is piping from the speakers on the corners of the ceiling, I'm typing to the clave, and I'm just loving life right now!

Jessie's plan is to have different LA instructors teach Salsa dance classes here after normal working hours one night a week - happy hour style.
